Plaid Fused Glass Plate, Candle Holder, Trinket Dish

The blue, green, and yellow plate is built with three layers of glass. Twenty-two strips of glass were cut and and positioned to create the plaid style. It was fused first to a slab, then slumped to form the plate spending over 40 hours in the kiln with a slow annealing process to reduce stress and increase durability.

This plate is food safe and we recommend washing it by hand to protect the glass surface.

Please note that since all of my fused glass products are handcrafted, there might be a slight variation in color and/or design. Also, glass is difficult to photograph due to reflections and computer monitors and other digital device screens displaying color differently. That's why some of the photos show the piece on an easel to provide a view of its transparency.
